Equality of Educational Opportunities from the Perspective of Islamic Education and Contemporary Western Education: A Comparative Study

The aim of this study is to explore the concept of equality of educational opportunities in Islamic education and contemporary Western education, with the purpose of reaching a reconciliatory understanding that combines the ideas of both perspectives. The study consisted of the following sections: an introduction, significance and justification of the study, study objectives, study terminology, research methodology, discussion of study results, and a conclusion. The study findings showed that Islamic educational thought played a leading role in implementing the content of the concept of equality of educational opportunities compared to Western educational thought.
