Four measurement tools were used: Jenkins Activity Survey, Researchers' prepared psychosomatic disorders checklist, Modified Cornell Psychosomatic Symptoms Checklist by the researchers, and Researchers' adaptation of the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV, 1994) criteria for psychosomatic symptoms.
