The research aims at exploring the concept of the civilized and Islamic presence project, its salient contemporary challenges and the roles of the teacher in motivating such presence. The researcher adopts the descriptive approach, which vividly signifies the research problem. The problem lies in that there is civilization complication and a conceptual defect in the teacher’s roles, as they are just traditional ones. This is while there is contemporary challenges (internal-external), which necessitate new roles to be played by the teacher. The researcher classifies these roles into profession, leadership, values and ingenuity.
The researcher concludes that the contemporary civilized and Islamic presence project encounters several challenges at two levels, viz. internal (political-educational-economic), and external (globalization, economic grouping and cognizance technology and digital revolution). He also concludes that Arabs and Muslims can establish a civilized and Islamic presence project simply because all the necessary requirements are available, and that the teacher plays a substantial role in the project success, carrying out these roles. The research recommends rethinking the education philosophy to suit our project of presence, avoiding politicizing education, giving it priority and furnishing it with whatever necessary.
