Abstract

The research aims at identifying the problems that students of higher studies face encounter at Ibb university and tries to offer a set of solutions according to the European Distinction Criteria Model EFM. The study followed the descriptive and survey methods to achieve its objectives. The questionnaire was used as the tool of the study to determine the most important problems facing higher studies students at Ibb university. It was distributed to a random sample of (94) higher studies students of Ibb university for the academic year 2019/2020. The tool consisted of (43) items divided into four dimensions, which are, academic, researching, administrative and financial, respectively. The results revealed that the financial problem scored the first rank with an average of (4.49), administrative came the second with an average of (3.88), researching took the third position with an average of (3.78), and academic problems was the last with an average of (3.58).  The research reached a number of recommendations, including: Allocate a special budget for post-graduate studies that meets the requirements of postgraduate studies and their various programmes. Establish high patterns of excellence in all the inputs of the postgraduate system to achieve a high level of quality of input from students and faculty, material resources and information systems.
