This research is a study and investigation of a manuscript entitled A Book [Risalah] on the Interpretation of the Verse: “And (remember) when Allāh took the Covenant of the Prophets, (saying): Take whatever I gave you from the Book and Ḥikmah (understanding of the Laws of Allāh),” (Al Imran: 81). The manuscript is on the interpretation of this verse, an explanation of the meanings and interpretative issues it contains. The author presents this in a clear, accurate and scientific manner. Based on the nature of this research, it is divided into three sections and a conclusion. The first sections deal with Introducing the author, his approach and his sources. The second section Introduces the book (the manuscript), a description of the written copies and examples from them. The third section is on the investigated text. The conclusion is a summary of the most important results and recommendations. The most important results are: The author mentions the linguistic meanings and the Qur’anic readings that the interpreters mentioned in the meaning of the verse, and he cites that meaning from the books of language and grammar, then he comments on it with what he extracts from the meaning. And also, the author mentions some of the sayings of the previous Interpreters, sometimes in the text and sometimes in the meaning. He discusses those sayings, prefers some of them, arises questions and responds to them. He justifies those responses to serve the meaning. This indicates the vastness of his knowledge and his openness.
