Abstract

The research aimed to study the monotheism word in terms of its structure, meaning, and the scholars’ opinions regarding its parsing. The descriptive-analytical approach was adopted. It was presented in three sections; first: the monotheism word and its importance in the Islamic faith, second: the composition on the monotheism word and the introduction to Abu-Ali al-Qari, the author of Kitab Al-Tajreid fi I؟rab Kalimat Al-Tawheid [The Divestiture Book in the Parsing of the Monotheism Word], third: the opinions of scholars, including grammarians, commentators, fundamentalists and jurists regarding the parsing of the monotheism word through the book of Abu-Ali Al-Qari and its discussion. The most important results are: The monotheism word is of fundamental importance in the Islamic faith. It is the basis of monotheism and scholars had multiple opinions regarding its parsing, which has contributed to enriching the linguistics and the grammar.
