Manifestations and Causes of Psychological and Sexual Violence Directed against Wives by Husbands as Perceived by Married University Students

Abstract

#This study aims to identify the manifestations and causes of psychological and sexual violence directed against wives by husbands as perceived by married university students. The study comes in an introduction,   theoretical background focusing on manifestations of violence, causes of violence and previous studies, research procedures, findings and a conclusion. The findings revealed that the most significant manifestations of psychological violence were linked to restricting women's freedom and disrespecting their opinions, while the most significant manifestations of sexual violence were associated with the husband's selfishness in sexual practices and neglecting the wife's sexual desires.
