Methods of Protecting Clay Walls from Erosion Factors in Heritage Buildings

Abstract

This article aims to highlight the methods of protecting clay walls in heritage buildings from erosions factors. The descriptive-analytical approach was adopted.  The study consists of an introduction, three sections and a conclusion. The first section focused on clay walls. The second section discussed erosion factors affecting clay walls, and the importance of protecting them. The third section proposed various methods for protecting clay walls, including surface treatments, moisture control, and maintenance practices. The study main findings showed that implementing protective measures was of paramount importance to enhance the durability of adobe walls in heritage buildings and preserve their historical value. The key results emphasized the significance of surface treatments and proper maintenance practices in mitigating the impact of weathering factors on adobe walls.
