#This study focused on the Maqasid-based principles mentioned by Imam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyya in his works and books. They were as follows: Firstly, the general principles regarding benefits and harms, which amounted to twelve principles. Secondly, the principles specific to balancing between benefits and harms, which amounted to seven principles. Thirdly, the principles specific to causes and means, which amounted to two principles. This was accompanied by mentioning numerous examples and applications of these principles. Through this, the prominent role played by Imam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyya - may Allah have mercy upon him - in simplifying the sciences of Sharia became evident. He established the foundations, connected the details to the broader concepts, explained the objectives and rationales behind the rulings, and adhered to a moderate and balanced approach in his methodology. His contributions solidified his position in the field of Sharia sciences and the objectives of its rulings.
