Problems of Economic and Social Development in Yemen and Possible Solutions to address them

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the problems of economic and social development in Yemen and possible solutions to address them. The descriptive-analytical approach is followed and the research is divided into; Introduction, problems of economic and social development in Yemen, ways to address the problems of economic and social development and a conclusion. The results showed that: the seriousness of the challenges facing economic and social development in Yemen, the most important of which are corruption, nepotism, increasing unemployment rates, the water problem and the food gap. The most important ways to confront them are making good use of natural resources, expanding oil exploration and reforming the state’s administrative system.
