The Situation of Financing the Education System in the Republic of Yemen and Its Future Prospects

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the situation of financing the education system in the Republic of Yemen and its future prospects. The descriptive-analytical approach is followed  based on statistics in official documents. The research is divided into five sections; the first: an introduction, the second: the theoretical background, the third: features of the situation of financing the education system in Yemen, the fourth: the proposed vision, and the fifth: results and recommendations. The results showed that, most of what is spent on education is in wages and salaries. This led to a lack of opportunities to improve and develop the quality of education. Therefore, spending on education is not as efficient as it should be and it needs a comprehensive revision.
