The Situation of Applying Developmental Supervision in Public Schools from Teachers' Point of View in Ibb City

This study aimed to know the situation of applying developmental supervision in public schools from teachers' point of view in Ibb City. To the objectives of the study, a descriptive survey approach was used. The society of the study was composed of all male and female teachers of public schools (5700) of which a sample of 285 teachers was selected randomly using a stratified sampling. Then, a questionnaire was administered to the participants to collect the data. To analyze the data, the following statistical techniques were used: means, standard deviations, and Alpha Cronbach. Accordingly, the study revealed a number of findings; the most significant ones are: the overall degree of applying developmental supervision in public schools in Ibb City was low (M = 2.15; SD = 0.92); the area of ''direct supervision'' obtained the highest mean score (M = 2.23; moral significance = low); the area of ''indirect supervision'' obtained a lower mean score (M = 2.18; moral significance = low); and the area of ''participatory supervision'' obtained the lowest mean score (M = 2.23; moral significance = low).
